About Robin
Robin has been practicing yoga for over a decade in a variety of styles, and has been sharing the practice as a teacher since 2011. Robin’s teaching is influenced by her study of Kula Flow, Anusara alignment principles, yogic mythology, and the traditions of Iyengar and Ashtanga Yoga (the foundation of Vinyasa Flow). She first developed a serious yoga practice as a means of finding nourishment amidst a stressful job and a busy family. She enjoyed the high she got in practicing fun and challenging poses, the artful, dynamic movement of Vinyasa Flow, the healing of good alignment, and the calm, quiet spaciousness she discovered in a good Savasana.
A learning junkie, she has completed numerous training courses in anatomy, sequencing, meditation, yin and restorative yoga, advanced asana work, and stories and mythology. She completed her 200-hour yoga training under the Anusara method, and gained an appreciation for the elegant and therapeutic Universal Principles of Alignment from that system. Wanting to get back to her Vinyasa roots, Robin then completed an advanced 75-hour training in the Kula Flow method with New York-based teacher, Schuyler Grant.
Robin teaches the popular Asana Deconstructed, Rock Your Asana, and Essential Oil + Yoga workshops at Nova Yoga Studio in downtown St. John’s, as well as Mixed Flow and Deep Chill Vinyasa drop-in classes. She loves to practice side-by-side with like-minded practitioners. To that end, she co-leads the Advanced Group Practice with Kelly Bursey at Nova Yoga. See you on the mat!!
