Eka Pada Galavasana Asana Deconstructed Series

An example of the type of practice involved in the Asana Deconstructed workshops. In the first week of this 4-week series working toward Eka Pada Galavasana (or Flying Pigeon), we worked on assessing and developing the hip flexibility needed to get into the pose. In the first picture, come into Seated Pigeon and reach your arms forward. Do your elbows go past your shin? If so, you have the hip flexibility to get into Flying Pigeon. If not, no worries...use the other pics to work on it!!
